Thanks, and yeah that's what I meant and I'm aiming for a Kerfus next :)

While more signals that contain more data in them would be nice, what I was moreso referring to was resetting the signal I found (because it was taking forever), and then finding the exact same signal again immediately after (i.e., everything I got was a Black Hole no matter what I did). This happened multiple times and even after rebooting the game.

+1 for your facts.

EDIT 2: Okay, so after digging through the comments here to see if anybody else had this issue, I found the following comment by tkpantol:

"Make sure to also calibrate the sattelites, type sd.calch in the console, if they're not at 100% type sd.calall"

APPARENTLY, the servers in the Main Hub are NOT the same servers that are used in each of the satellites. You actually need to drive to each one regularly and run the calchecks or else your download speed takes a massive dive over time.

This should be like, a hell of a lot clearer? Like I should get a notification saying "Hey idiot you haven't calibrated anything in 10 days wth are you doing" because I thought this was the game's idea of a difficulty curve, not something I was missing on my part.

Anyway, happy to report I saw 24B/s after I calibrated some of the servers and am now going to make a new game to try this again :/

I made an account just to say this:

Having a >1B/s download speed with 16/16 Download upgrades and everything else turned off, does not make your game fun. It makes it incredibly boring.

Having the same signal over and over again, even if you reset and find another, and even if you reboot the game, is not fun.

This game is GOOD, for the first 8 in-game days. After that it is a trial of your patience.

Heavens forbid anyone actually getting to 31 DAYS to unlock Sandbox mode.
In fact I'm going to dig through the files to just cheat my way into it after making this post.

I understand it's a demo, but it's also been several months in development, and this is like one half of the core gameplay.
It gets boring bouncing a soccer ball into an upturned desk for the 15th time waiting for a download to slowly drag itself to the next percent.

I'm so bored that when everything started to get dark around me, with full lights on and stuff, I was more frustrated at how bored and slow everything was than scared about the things happening around me.

Please, make the download speeds more forgiving; there's a true gem here but like this is just bull.

EDIT: cool wow thanks the save files are in an encrypted format (probably for unity or something) and there are no plain text variables for the sandbox flag or save game days passed. thanks very good
